Each film coated tablet contains Levocetirizine hydrochloride IP 5mg + Montelukast Sodium Eq to Montelukast I.P 10mg. Levocetirizine: A potent third-generation non-sedative antihistamine, developed from the second-generation antihistamine cetirizine. Chemically, it is an active enantiomer of cetirizine. It blocks histamine receptors, does not release the histamine, but prevent its binding to receptors. It is potent selective and long-acting H1-histamine receptor antagonist. Montelukast: A renowned leukotriene receptor antagonist, effective in maintenance treatment of asthma and to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies. It efficiently blocks the action of leukotriene D4 in the lungs and bronchial tubes, reducing the bronchoconstriction caused by leukotriene and results in reduced inflammation.
